Lama Walli has meditated for fifteen years in retreat under the guidance of the great master Gendün Rinpoche. In 1986 he entrusted her with the responsibilities of a lama and since that time she has accompanied students who practice in retreat.
In 1996 Gendün Rinpoche initiated the retreat center Dhagpo Dedrol Ling for lay people in the Dordogne, France where she took part in its guidance until 2021. During this time several three-year retreats took place under her assistance. Nowadays she is accompanying practitioners during their shorter or longer individual meditation periods.
At the centre she lives together with her husband Chris who has been practicing under her guidance for years.
Lama Chris is himself a teacher in the Dhagpo Mandala and in 2009 Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche appointed him as a Dharma instructor for his Bodhi Path organization. He is also guiding people in individual or group retreats.
During the winter months they both devote themselves mainly to meditation practice. At other times they are holding retreat courses at various European centers of the Karma Kagyu Lineage that are under the authority of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.
During these retreat courses formal meditation sessions alternate with teachings on fundamental Buddhist topics.
