Lama Walli has practiced for fifteen years in retreat under the guidance of the great master Gendün Rinpoche. In 1986 he entrusted her with the responsibilities of a lama and since that time she has accompanied students who practice in retreat.
In 1996 Gendün Rinpoche initiated the retreat center Dhagpo Dedrol Ling for lay people in the Dordogne, France where she takes part in its guidance. She assists practitioners in their development, mainly within a framework of shorter and longer individual practice periods or in Three Year Retreats.
At the centre she lives together with her husband Chris who has been practicing under her guidance in longer retreats since many years and who is himself a Lama in the Dhagpo Mandala. In 2009 Shamar Rinpoche appointed him as a Dharma instructor for his Bodhi Path organization.
In Dedröl Ling he is likewise teaching and guiding people in individual or group retreats.
A good half of the year they devote themselves to meditation practice in retreat. Furthermore they are holding retreat courses at various European centers of the Karma Kagyu Lineage that are under the authority of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and Shamar Rinpoche.
During these courses formal meditation sessions alternate with teachings on fundamental Buddhist topics.
